Through hands-on workshops, skills development, internships, and work experience opportunities, we help aspiring creatives build their careers. We also offer courses designed to nurture talent and support the growth of a vibrant creative community.

Whether you’re here to sip artisan coffee, make music, create art, or catch an intimate gig, this space is built for expression. By day, it’s a coffee bar, workshop hub and exhibition space, where you can learn new skills, showcase your work, or get inspired by the city’s most exciting creatives. By night, it transforms into a laid-back venue for live performances that hit close to home. More than just a space, The Canopi is where Cardiff’s creative community comes to thrive, connect, and grow.

The front room
The Front Room is conveniently located near the main entrance and offers seating for 20-30 people, depending on the layout, with a standing capacity of 40. It’s perfect for workshops, intimate functions, product launches, open mic nights, and book events. The space includes a large table seating 12, a cozy sofa area, and a coffee bar, creating a relaxed yet functional setting. An accessible toilet is also available on this floor for added convenience.

The white room
The White Room is an intimate space with a seated capacity of 10-20 and standing room for up to 30. Perfect for exhibitions, meetings, launch parties, or workshops, it offers versatility for a range of creative and professional events. Some of our resident studio members host workshops here on topics like fashion, natural dyeing, and printmaking, showcasing the room’s ideal fit for hands-on, artistic experiences. The space also includes convenient access to toilets on the same floor, including an accessible facility.

Event space
The Event Space offers flexible capacity, with seating for up to 60 guests and standing room for up to 100. It features a fixed stage, making it ideal for live music, screenings, parties, and a variety of other events. A projector and PA system are available for hire upon request. While limited tables and seating are provided, additional furniture may be required depending on your needs. The room also includes a fully equipped bar, and guests will have access to toilets on the same floor, including an accessible facility.
