Felt Fedora Hat Workshop

In this comprehensive two-day course, you will learn the essential techniques of shaping, blocking, and manipulating wool felt to create a classic Fedora hat.

Here's what you'll learn:

• The fundamentals of hat-making, including stiffening felt and using steam to stretch and shape it over a wooden block.

• How to ensure your hat holds its form, curve a petersham or leather ribbon, and apply a professional finish.

• Techniques for trimming and decorating your hat for a unique and personal touch.

By the end of the course, you’ll have gained essential millinery skills to craft hats independently—and leave with a finished hat made entirely by you.
